I think its an excellent commentary on what we would do as a race if we ever travel amongst the stars.

Ecalzi when I saw that Scalzi had written this book, a “reboot” of the original, I just didn’t get it. Beyond that, we really knew nothing of him. Scalzi, I would guess, if asked would state that his novel, his retelling of the story, is a little more realistic about the actions of some of the characters.

I really liked the main characters and I have to say that Carl is one of my all time favourite characters! Fuzzy Ergo Sum is not a piggy-back on Mr. And a lovable dog companion! The story takes place on the planet Zarathustra where ZaraCorp has been granted an exclusive mining and exploration charter from Earth to exploit locate and process the fuzzh commodities of the planet.

I have never read a John Scalzi novel before, but I certainly don’t think this will be my last. It made me chuckle a lot but it also made me very sad.

I read it every chance I could and blew through the whole thing in two days. I had not read anything by John Scalzi before but I certainly will look out for him now. Jack is not your everyday loveable lead character.

Fuzzy Nation

This ruzzy probably pretty common. It was much, much better and certainly more serious than I’d imagined. Started with a dog being taught to detonate stuff and followed by a discovery of cute cat-like creatures who are smarter than the awfully cute dog.

Scalzi writes well, and also has many quotable passages, but his stories lack a certain amount of “heart,” and ultimately I feel like I’m reading a science textbook rather than a science fiction novel. Then it launched into a countless series of legal debate. Scalzii trolling is free advertising.

I knew what story I had to put down. In the Author’s Note, Scalzi says: As for the Fuzzies. This was a quick and easy read, but by no means was it simple or lacking depth.

I remember Little Fuzzy with delight from when it was new, and when I downloaded a Kindle app for my iPhone, a set of 32 works by H. Same plot, same characters in broad strokes, same basic events. Besides — fiction draws on fiction all the time. It was just straight up cheesy.
